Elevator ChainsElevator chains are heavy-duty chains used
in lifts and other vertical transportation systems. They are essential to
transporting a lift car and its passengers between floors of a building in a
safe and effective manner. These often have interconnecting links composed of
high-strength steel. The linkages are made to endure the hefty loads and
frequent motions that come with operating a lift. At the top of the lift shaft,
a motorised sprocket system drives the lift chain. The elevator chains move as
the engine turns the sprocket, moving the lift vehicle up or down. |
